- Assist with the ongoing SOX readiness initiative, ensuring all compliance requirements are met efficiently.
- Identify, implement, and monitor the remediation of control deficiencies, focusing on strengthening processes for long-term compliance.
- Serve as the intermediary between internal staff/processes and external consultants to coordinate and execute remediation efforts while operationalizing recommended improvements.
- Assess control applicability.
- Patch existing fixes and design new financial and operational controls.
- Ensure all controls adhere to the COSO framework, mitigating risks while maintaining alignment with compliance standards.
- Focus primarily on financial and operational controls, offering support as needed to the internal audit function for IT General Controls (ITGC) compliance.
- Provide clear and concise updates on remediation progress to the Director of Internal Controls and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Proven experience in SOX compliance, ideally within IPO readiness or public-company environments.
- Strong knowledge of the COSO framework and its practical application.
- Demonstrated ability to identify control deficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams and external consultants.
- Familiarity with financial and operational controls; experience in ITGC controls is a plus.
