- Collaborate with various business units to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into technical specifications and system designs.
- Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of new business systems and enhancements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Perform in-depth analysis of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, standardization, and automation to enhance performance and user experience.
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned business systems, providing technical guidance, support, and training to end-users and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including functional specifications, technical designs, user manuals, and training materials.
- Manage project lifecycles from conception to completion, including planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting on progress to stakeholders.
- Conduct system testing, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet business requirements and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, collaborating with IT teams and external vendors as needed.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential application to improve business processes and systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of system engineering processes and methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Business System Engineer, Business Analyst, or similar role with a strong technical focus.
- Proven experience in gathering requirements, system design, development, and implementation.
- Strong understanding of various system development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Visio).
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or other large-scale business applications is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) in both English and French, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and technologies is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are considered an asset.
