- Maintain or Commission Substation equipment including Power Transformers, Circuit Breakers, HV Switches and Instrument Transformers
- Maintain distribution equipment, such as breaker testing, relay testing, HV Switches and transformers
- Relay Protection upgrades and modifications
- Custom breaker and electrical switchgear retrofits
- LV breaker repair and refurbishments
- Read and interpret electrical AC & DC schematics, AC three-line diagrams
- Be familiar with industry specific codes and Standards (CEC, IEEE, and NETA)
- Ability and willingness to travel out of town for commissioning or maintenance projects
- May be required to provide emergency services to the company's customers on short notice
- Required to work in an industrial and outdoor substation environment
- Familiarity or willing to gain familiarity with testing different types of high voltage and low voltage equipment
- Deliver on time and professional services, build, and maintain customer relationships
- Report, record, compute and process electrical test information in accordance with accepted standard practices
- Co-ordinate the day-to-day functions on a job-by-job basis, such as but not limited to, compliance with all Health and Safety standards and regulations, equipment and materials, resolving conflicts, timely and accurate submission of paperwork
- Exercise due diligence in the care and operation of corporate assets
- Carry out such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

- Electrician license (Construction Electrician)
- Electrical technologist diploma
- LV & MV relay testing
- Previous distribution maintenance activities
- 2-3 years of field experience
- Construction scheduling, planning, and execution
- Able to read electrical drawings
- Established electrical utilities practices, procedures and techniques
- Applicable local and provincial labour codes
- Organization and time management
- Willing and able to travel within the Atlantic Region
- Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License
- Security clearance
