- Operate and monitor equipment and processes involved in wastewater treatment, including pumps, valves, blowers, filters, and chemical treatment systems.
- Adjust operational parameters based on readings from instruments and laboratory tests to ensure effective and efficient treatment.
- Monitor and control the flow of wastewater through the treatment process to
- Meet regulatory requirements and maintain proper treatment standards.
- Operates and maintains Wastewater Treatment plants and provides services for incoming waste;
- Collect samples of wastewater, sludge and treated effluent for laboratory analysis at C75 and S75 WWTP.
- Collect samples of potable water for laboratory analysis at NSL, conduct basic laboratory tests to monitor the effectiveness of the treatment process and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Interpret test results and adjust treatment process as necessary.
- Troubleshoots and corrects process issues and mechanical failures;
- Completes and submits all associated paperwork, as required, for regulatory and safety record keeping requirements.
- Wastewater Treatment Level II Certification is required, level II preferred.
- MBR experience would be preferred
- Previous experience performing mechanical repairs on valves, pumps, is an asset;
- Previous forklift, skid steer and truck experience considered an asset;
- Previous experience in plumbing and the repair of pumps;
- Previous experience working in a remote camp would be an asset;
- Ability to work in all-weather elements;
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
- Safety tickets such as First-Aid, Confined Space Entry, H2S Alive, and Fall Arrest is an asset;
