- Perform routine and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment in accordance with company standards and safety procedures.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure product quality meets or exceeds A660 / ISO 9001 requirements.
- Complete mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and welding repairs to support reliable equipment operation.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues before they impact production.
- Document inspection findings and recommend corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and longevity.
- Apply effective troubleshooting techniques to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement lasting solutions.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to reduce production interruptions.
- Perform minor electrical repairs and installations as required to support safe and efficient equipment operation.
- Install, assemble, and maintain machinery to ensure consistent production flow and throughput.
- Use the Maintenance Request System to track, document, and update maintenance activities, including repair requests and completed work.
- Participate actively in maintenance team meetings, sharing updates, insights, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to align priorities, schedules, and production needs.
- Operate all equipment in a safe manner and report equipment defects or safety concerns immediately.
- Follow lock-out and tag-out procedures and comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations.
- Contribute to a safe, healthy work environment and support continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
- Licensed Millwright with 5+ years of experience, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Secondary school diploma or high school equivalent (minimum).
- Experience maintaining and repairing a wide range of manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to perform minor electrical repairs and welding as part of maintenance activities.
- Understanding of equipment operation, limitations, and maintenance requirements.
- Experience working at heights and using material handling equipment (cranes, slings, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- A safety-first mindset with attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Commitment to ongoing learning to keep pace with evolving manufacturing technology and company requirements.
