
Senior Technology Specialist - On site at Calgary Airport (YYC)

- Document and manage the network environment, including diagrams, procedures, and project plans
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues to ensure high network availability
- Lead VoIP infrastructure design and upgrades per Solution Architect guidance
- Support operational and capital projects for VoIP services
- Perform IOS and software upgrades on Voice Gateways, Cisco Call Manager, and related systems
- Maintain VoIP certificates and configure call routing and messaging
- Keep all network and VoIP documentation current
- Work On site at Calgary Airport (YYC)
- 5+ years of Hands on experience/knowledge with migrating, installing, upgrading, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting the following:
- Cisco Unified Communications Manager
- Cisco Unity Connection
- Cisco Emergency Responder
- Voice Routers - ISR/ASR 2900 to 8300 series
- Voice Gateways - eg: VG320, VG350 and ATA 190
- SRST Gateways
- Hands on experience/knowledge with troubleshooting, and supporting the following:
- Voice over IP - MGCP, H.323, T.38, SIP, Voice QoS protocols, etc.
- Network Protocols - TCP/UDP, FTP, SFTP, TFTP, SMTP, SIP, DHCP, DNS
- Traditional / Legacy integrations: PRI, FXS/FXO & Understanding of WAN technologies (MPLS, VPLS, SD-WAN, ISDN)
- Knowledge of Collaboration / IVR systems would be an asset. eg: MS Teams, UCCX
- Involvement in technology refreshes or evergreen programs
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper, and/or other major networking vendors
- Ability to work with diverse enterprise environments
- Experience with various network management tools such as Cisco DNA Center, ISE, Spaces, Palo Alto Panorama, etc
- Ability to work: independently, extended hours, overtime, and after-hours providing on-call 7X24 coverage on a rotational basis. Ability to travel and work on-site at a customer location is required
- Work with sophisticated clients through strong interpersonal skills
- Nice to have: CCNA or CCNP or equivalents are highly valued
