
Senior Project Manager

- Responsible for all aspects of project start up, including but not limited to, finalizing Prime Contract, conducting project startup meetings and prepare project execution plan, resource and staffing plans, and procurement management
- Working with the Estimating and Business Development teams to pursue and secure work
- Initiate and maintain excellent relationships with existing and potential clients, consultants, and trade partners.
- Recognize opportunities for business that may arise in secondary areas of focus: self-perform concrete, metal building solutions, metal cladding solutions, solar and energy
- Responsible for all aspects of financial management strategy
- Management of site Safety, Quality Control and Communications plan
- Create and manage project schedule
- Chair meetings, issue minutes and follow up on action items
- Track productivity and performance of the project
- Manage stakeholder expectations
- Responsible for all aspects of project close out including training, inspections, turn over and warranty
- Supporting business development activities by maintaining long lasting relationships with clients, the design community, engineers and other organizations which enhance future business development opportunities
- Responsible for Coaching, mentoring project team members, including superintendents, and assisting in developing a diverse team to ensure Clark Builders is creating growth opportunities to achieve both individual and corporate goals and objectives

- Ability to support our estimating team in Northern Alberta by providing expertise in preparing small and unique estimates that are tailored to the requirements of different clients, within the context of a smaller office environment
- Innovative individual who is willing to assist inexperienced Consultants and Owners in successfully initiating their projects
- Desire to explore alternative opportunities that may not align with Clark Builders' usual pursuits in other locations.
- Bachelors' degree, diploma or 2-year certificate in a construction related discipline
- 10+ years’ experience working as a Project Manager, managing the construction of Commercial, Industrial, or Institutional buildings
- Experience with various types of construction contracts
- Experience managing the entire construction process from startup to closeout on a variety of project sizes and complexities
- Understanding the principles of Lean thinking, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement
- Experience with Last Planner® System an asset
- Experience with Procore® Construction Management Software an asset
