We take care of our team, support each other and cultivate a sense of belonging for all.The Senior Accountant will be part of the Corporate Accounting team at TC Transcontinental’s head office and will work alongside a team of motivated collaborators eager to make their mark and innovate. The incumbent will report to the Manager, Financial Operations and will play a key role in supporting business entities, preparing group financial statements, and contributing to various continuous improvement and automation projects.These initiatives will involve close collaboration with multiple teams, including Financial Reporting, Information Technology, and Operational units.The position is based at 1 Place Ville Marie and requires an in-office presence four (4) days per week. Responsibilities:When your actions lead to success:Develop and prepare various consolidated and non-consolidated balance sheet analysesDevelop and implement control procedures to ensure the accuracy of financial dataReview and validate financial statements in collaboration with business units and support operationsPrepare month-end journal entries, including intercompany transactionsIdentify and implement process improvement initiatives related to general accountingPrepare multiple quantitative reports for internal and external stakeholdersProvide financial information and prepare statutory financial statements required for corporate tax filingsSupport acquisition and divestiture projectsProvide required documentation to external and internal auditorsSupport the Manager, Financial Operations on various ad hoc projectsQualifications:When your expertise drives us:CPA designation (required) or in the process of obtaining itBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or FinanceMinimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experienceAdvanced proficiency in ExcelExperience with ERP systems; PeopleSoft is an assetBilingual in French and EnglishWhen benefits really help you live better:We offer a comprehensive and flexible benefits package designed to support your well-being and help you thrive—at work and at home.
