- Establish and monitor contract budgets and schedules, including rates and price
- Supervise and coordinate the work of multiple contractors on site with respect to safety, quality of work, and adherence to applicable codes, standards, design documents and site standards
- Ensure that Wood Canada Limited and the Project's health, safety, security and environment (HSSE) programs are implemented and adhered to at all times
- Proactively work with contractors to ensure project safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives are being achieved
- Monitor schedule and quantities of work completed, identifying mitigation strategies where required
- Participate in the turnover process by assembling completion checklists and other construction records
- Assist with any clarification, interpretation, interference resolution and QA/QC related matters
- Coordinate with Wood engineering to ensure timely resolutions of any Requests for Information
- Assist in the review and resolution of QA/QC non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Ensure site - instructions, drawings and specifications for scope changes with contractors are issued/communicated in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain communication channels with client, stake holders, contractors and internal Wood personnel to ensure that work flows smoothly and is delivered to the Project's expectations
- Monitor daily construction activities with respect to performance, procedure, quality and provide the Construction Manager with detailed, timely daily reports of all such activities and equipment utilized for these activities
- Submit weekly progress reports outlining items of concern such as progress delays, safety observations, non-conformance with specifications/ drawings, equipment, weather delays, congestion, workmanship, quality control and potential scope changes or contractual impacts
- Minimum of 8 years of multi-discipline construction experience on large scale, heavy industrial projects
- Trade qualifications with proven experience in organizing site services construction activities
- Substantial experience managing civil scopes of work on dynamic, complex projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment
- Engineering technologist diploma or graduate degree in related field is considered an asset
