Part-Time Direct Support Professional - Children's Services

- We are looking for someone to cover weekends, evenings & overnights
- Assist with task assignments and contextual work explanation under the direction of the Team Lead.
- Aid individuals in financial matters such as annual budget planning and tax preparation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISP) and Person-Centered Plans (PCP).
- Facilitate medication setup and reconciliation on a weekly basis.
- Conduct home inspections and ensure compliance with regulations and agency policies.
- Foster client-centered approaches to encourage skill development, self-determination, and community inclusion.
- Provide personal care with respect for individual dignity and preferences.
- Implement program activities and goals while networking within the community for inclusion opportunities.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders through various formats.
- Provide positive feedback to clients, supervisors, and external parties.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate respectfully with colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
- Participate in team meetings and share information for consistency of care.
- Ensure safety, security, and wellness of clients and colleagues.
- Adhere to all applicable legislation and contribute to identifying areas for improvement.

- The candidate(s) must have education or experience focused in child development or early childhood education
- Broad Sector Police clearance
- A valid G driver's license and insurable by the agency’s insurance company.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to respond to individual needs and crisis situations in a calm, productive manner.
- Well-developed organizational and communication skills are essential.
- Experience working with and following Behaviour Support Plans (BSP’s) is considered an asset.
- Must be available to work, days, evenings, sleep shifts, weekends, and, must be committed to be available for call in shifts.
