Benefits are provided by CLAC which include items such as health, dental, vision plans, life and disability coverages, comprehensive retirement plans, family support benefits, mental health and wellness resources, and more.Essential Responsibilities:Interprets job order ticketsReads blueprints and mapsPlans travel routes between urban and rural areasOperates testing equipment to pinpoint the location of underground utilitiesMonitors equipment (excavators etc.) to ensure facilities are not damagedCreates drawings using U2Other duties as assignedQualifications:At least 1-3 years of experience locating underground facilities or working with outside plant fiber opticsSelf-Motivated, ability to prioritize and organize workloads with little directionExperience with telecommunications and wiring is an assetA positive, âcan-doâ attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerityStrong desire to learn new technologiesTeam player with both excellent communication skills both written and verbalMust be a computer savvy, able to handle multiple computer applicationsMaintain a valid provincial driverâs license (Full G) and must provide a driverâs abstractEnsure vehicle, test equipment and tools are maintained in excellent conditionWork Conditions:Van and major tools suppliedTravel will be required, including overnight stays and out-of-town assignments/trainingPreference given to local candidatesWork environments include different types of terrain (grass, gravel, ditches, etc.) in and around construction zones and residential, commercial, industrial, and rural areasAble to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, in all types of weather conditionsAdditional Information:Company DescriptionLedcor Technical Services (LTS) designs, builds, and maintains wireline or wireless networks that span North America and beyond.
