- Lead the planning execution, and interpretation of the external loads development for EOS concept aircraft
- Creation of the load cases matrix meeting FAA Part 25 Certification Requirements with a maturity roadmap from the initial load set to the final load survey load loop to support certification activities
- Identification and envelopes of critical loads conditions in the flight envelope
- Interface with the structures, aerodynamics and CFD and Flight Sciences team
- Writing of the compliance demonstration documents in accordance with the certification process of the aircraft
- Automated Load Application & Inertial Relief Setup: Create and implement automated methods to apply loads, set up inertial relief runs, and analyze combinations of loads on aircraft structures to optimize for various loading scenarios (e.g., takeoff, landing, cruise).
- Bulk Data File Management: Develop methods for building and manipulating bulk data files and control decks for GFEM models, facilitating the integration of detailed local models and large-scale system models in NASTRAN.
- Code Development to automate the work
- Start-Up Environment Leadership: Lead and collaborate in a fast-paced, often ambiguous start-up environment, providing leadership and creative solutions in structural analysis while adapting to rapidly maturing requirements.
- New aircraft development and certification of composite primary and secondary structures
- Open VSP & VLM
- Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) methods
- NASTRAN, PATRAN, or FEMAP
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience in aerospace loads development, with a focus on new aircraft development and certification of composite primary and secondary structures.
- Software tools used in the generation of external loads including proficiency in low fidelity methods such as Open VSP & VLM, & Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) methods; VSAERO & NSU3D and aerospace structural analysis; NASTRAN, PATRAN, or FEMAP and ability to map results across meshes.
- Understanding of design stages and putting a load and dynamics plan together
