Applications are invited for a number of seasonal positions of Parks/Engineering Worker in Parks, Recreation and Culture and Public Works Departments.These are Labourer type positions that consist of full-time hours from May 19 to October 9, 2026.These positions will be utilized in various work units that require seasonal, outdoor work such as:Roadways, Sanitation, Sign Shop, Parks and Golf Course.Required Qualifications:
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Driver's License.
  • Previous experience with a variety of construction, maintenance and repair operations.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform light and/or heavy manual labouring tasks.
  • Ability to operate small hand tools and motorized equipment efficiently.
  • Training in WHMIS and Surveying experience would be an asset.
WAGE $21.67 per hourPrinciple Duties & Responsibilities:-Perform a variety of tasks in construction, maintenance and repair operations including:-shovel work such as digging, shovelling gravel, asphalt and sand
-grasscutting duties, string trimming, ball diamond and golf course maintenance
