
Structural Technician - Bridge-Candidate Pool

- Assist engineers in tasks related to the design of drawings and specifications using CAD development tools for structural construction or rehabilitation projects (bridges, overpasses, buildings)
- Ensure that drawings and specifications are compliant with guidelines, codes and other regulations
- Prepare quantity estimates and calculations for materials required to carry out projects
- Visit construction sites to carry out necessary surveys for the production of drawings and specifications
- Participate in the design for the rehabilitation of bridges and other road structures, and buildings
- Participate in on-site construction work supervision (technical support)
- Carry out all other related tasks supporting project delivery
- Diploma of college studies (DCS) in civil engineering or equivalent training
- At least three years of relevant experience related to structural engineering
- Training proof from ASP Construction for health and safety on construction sites
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD software
- Excellent French communication skills, both spoken and written
- Successful completion of the MTQ training on structural construction and repair (an asset)
- Knowledge of the MTQ standards (an asset)
- Knowledge and experience using Power Inroads and Micro-Station software (an important asset)
- Experience in the consulting engineering industry (an asset)
