- Tool Preparation & Maintenance:
- Build, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on pipeline inspection tools and support equipment per provided quality and build timelines.
- Follow blueprint diagrams (mechanical/electrical) and complete relevant build checklists.
- Conduct troubleshooting and basic diagnostics on electrical and mechanical tool systems.
- Document refurbishment activities in maintenance logs or digital systems, including parts used and work performed.
- Perform functional tests and QA verifications as required by SOPs.
- Assist in tool readiness and loading for field deployment.
- Support field technicians by preparing backup equipment when required.
- Deliver or collect parts locally as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Participate in daily/weekly safety meetings.
- Perform general maintenance of the shop and yard areas as required.
- Report equipment issues or hazards to the Operations Manager promptly.
- Identify and report safety concerns, hazards, or near-misses immediately.
- Follow PPE requirements and conduct pre-use inspections.
- Maintain a driving record that meets company driver eligibility requirements and adheres to company driving policy and traffic laws.
- Ensure all tools, parts, and work areas are cleaned and returned to designated locations at the end of each task.
- Participate in regular cleaning duties to maintain a tidy and hazard-free shop environment.
- Assist with upkeep and cleanliness of assigned work and storage areas.
- Support safe handling of shop chemicals and materials
- High school diploma required.
- Post-secondary diploma in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Electrical Technology (preferred).
- 2+ years of hands-on technical or electromechanical experience.
- Valid Driver’s License (Class 5) meeting company driver eligibility requirements.
- Valid Passport (asset; required for cross-border travel).
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and tool handling skills.
- Familiarity with electronics, soldering, and troubleshooting techniques. Strong computer skills and ability to navigate Windows and proprietary software.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Forklift operation experience (asset).
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Effective task prioritization and time management.
- Self-regulated with a strong sense of pride in one’s work.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Recognized as a safety-sensitive position.
