- Coordinates all aspects of recruiting including applicant selection, interview, reference checking and job offers
- Develops advertising strategies and ads and coordinates job fairs for hourly recruiting
- Leads the Orientation Process for new employees including setting up personal record files, forms completion and distribution thereof to payroll, benefit carriers, and union office
- Develops and coordinates job postings and the job posting system in accordance with the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
- Leads and develops hourly training
- Promotes positive employee relations and goodwill
- Sources and recruits summer students for the peak vacation period
- Coordinates locker use and performs periodic inspections in accordance with HACCP and collective agreement provisions
- Working towards or completion of a post-secondary education program, diploma or degree in Human Resources management
- Excellent computer skills, including strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook with a passion for accuracy
- Strong team player with problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent Communication and Written skills
- Ability to get things done within a decentralized environment with minimal supervision
- Positive and professional approach with willingness to learn and enjoys challenging oneself
