Reports To: Group Controller🌊 Why This Role MattersAs our Time & Materials Billing Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in keeping our projects financially healthy and our clients confident. Every hour worked and every material used begins with daily LEMS reporting-and ends with accurate, timely billing.Your work ensures transparency, builds trust, and supports the strong cash flow that keeps our projects moving forward.If you like being the person who makes things add up, this role is for you.🔑 What You'll Do
- Ensure accurate daily time capture and LEMS reporting to clients
- Prepare and issue invoices under time-and-materials contracts
- Review project timesheets, expense reports, and material usage logs for accuracy
- Work closely with Project Managers to resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized billing documentation for audits and reporting
- Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections as required
- Support month-end and year-end close with accurate billing data
- Recommend improvements and streamline billing workflows
- Contribute to consistent, accurate financial reporting across the organization
- 4+ years of experience in T&M billing, accounts receivable, or project accounting
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, etc.)
- Experience with ERPs (Acumatica is a bonus!)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication skills for working with both project and finance teams
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines without compromising quality
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or enrollment in a CPA program
- Understanding of general ledger, A/P, A/R, and payroll processes
- Construction/job-costing experience is highly valued (marine experience not required)
