The Carrier Channel Marketing Manager will be responsible for all aspects of marketing between the carrier and Samsung. This position will lead the strategy, development, execution and communication of Samsung's key marketing strategies and promotions for the assigned Carrier account. Incumbent is responsible to develop, manage, implement, and analyze marketing strategies/programs/campaigns, for all products under the Mobile Experience (MX) portfolio. As it relates to quarterly campaigns, product launches, branding, and sell-through programs, in both Carrier B2C and B2B channels.Role and Responsibilities
  • Develop marketing strategies including media and performance marketing tactics – ATL (digital, social, TVC, PR) and creative for customer buying experience – BTL (direct, displays, POP and in-store collateral).
  • Lead marketing-related interactions with Carrier leadership and cross-functional teams (VPs, Directors, and Sr. Managers) to develop strategic partnership opportunities, quarterly and product launch campaign development, and post-execution performance marketing analysis.
  • Serve as main point of contact to develop and negotiate quarterly marketing investment opportunities, based on account priorities.
  • Manage annual Carrier MDF budgets, upwards of $10M, using market research, consumer insights and sales results to adapt and create marketing plans. Provides guidance for MDF payments to partner / dealers to ensure MDF agreements are adhered to.
  • Lead on the development of New Product Introductions (NPI) go-to-market, and marketing plans for all MX product portfolios, ensuring that deadlines and deliverables are met for B2C/B2B activities and processes, including:
  • Product and Marketing Kick Off meetings for carrier, aligning with internal SMEs to develop material and action items for carrier.
  • Creative brief review and program objective alignment.
  • Marketing plan alignment with SECA brand marketing to optimize overall brand experience.
  • Merchandising planograms, assortment and POP for customer buying experience in store and online.
  • Creative alignment to ensure brand compliance in channel tactics ranging from TVC, online, ATL & BTL, in-store merchandising, Direct eDM / SMS, PR, partner website etc.
  • Campaign measurement and monitoring with sales results to optimize in-market programs.
  • Post Campaign analysis with carrier team to develop insights and opportunities.
  • Lead in the negotiation and executions of Carrier integrated events and sponsorships ensuring delivery of ROI and program execution (both in person and virtual).
  • Lead on Carrier Channel Tactics.
  • Ambassador programs.
  • strategic seeding programs to drive sales results.
  • Maintain close and frequent working relationships with Samsung Electronics Canada (SECA), finance, engineering, service and distribution management to optimize delivery of products and programs within projected timelines.
  • Initiate, develop, manage, and implement strategic B2C/B2B product marketing plans and programs, at a National-level, for the assigned carrier to grow the partnership, achieve revenue, profit and market share targets through the development of:
  • marketing strategies.
  • marketing support.
  • advertising programs.
  • product launch and promotions.
  • branding programs.
  • business processes and procedures.
  • Product transition strategies.
  • Support sales channel management – B2C, B2B, Corporate, Dealer and Regional.
  • Serve as primary SECA Marketing interface to manage and direct Carrier cross-functional teams, to collaborate on joint business planning, brand management, in-store merchandising and sales execution.
  • Analyze high priority account performance quarterly utilizing Samsung KPI's and participate in Partner QBR (Quarterly Business Reviews).
  • Build and communicate product/program presentations to Carrier leads, as prescribed by the Company sales guidelines.
Skills and QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, (preferably in Marketing, Business, or Engineering from an accredited college or university), or equivalent work experience in the telecommunications industry preferred.
Knowledge:
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company.
  • Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects, with ability to assess and recommend strategic marketing solutions to business requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Brand marketing documents, media materials, and contracts (or related documents) to build and assess campaigns and programs, pre and post execution.
  • Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for internal and external personnel at all levels, especially in the sales and marketing, logistical, or financial areas of clients, prospects, and company.
  • Exceptional communication skills to conduct professional meetings and presentations, with internal and external account stakeholders.
  • Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve personal and account goals, while completing assignments within established time frames.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a retail channel marketing program management capacity with P&L responsibility and a successful track record of direct program and channel development, logistics and distribution management, and long-term customer contact and relationship building preferred.
  • Experience researching and resolving customer marketing and sales issues.
  • Experience developing marketing and sales presentations using a variety of presentation methods.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office is mandatory.
