The opportunity:
The University of Manitoba is looking for a Building System Specialist - Fire Protection. This position will
be responsible for the technical coordination and operational management of Life Safety Systems
throughout the University to ensure compliance with all applicable City, Provincial, and Federal Codes,
bylaws, regulations, and standards concerning fire and life safety. Provide Life Safety operational support
on systems which include but not limited to, fire alarms, sprinklers, suppression, fire pumps, deluge,
emergency lighting, standpipes, fire department connections, equipment access, security and monitoring
alarm systems critical to the performance of the overall life safety program. Other duties as assigned.
