Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital is actively seeking applicants for a Cook position. The Cook prepares the meals for patients, team members, customers, family/guests of the hospital.Qualifications:
  • Cook Certificate or Red Seal Program certificate (license) preferred
  • Current Food Handlers certificate required
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent acceptable to the Hospital.
  • Preference given to applicants with institutional cooking experience.
  • Able to do heavy lifting, repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Established initiative and ability to work independently or as a team in a flexible manner.
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance record and work ethic.
  • Knowledge of computer software programs.
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to privacy and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
Other pertinent conditions:
  • Must be available to work all shifts as required including days, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays. Hours of work are subject to change.
  • Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($29.12 per hour to $29.60 per hour)
