This role supports export execution activities by coordinating documentation for bulk vessel and container shipments and providing backup support for contract management, courier coordination, and overseas elevator inventory reporting. Through strong attention to detail and collaboration with internal and external partners, this position helps ensure smooth trade execution and regulatory compliance.This is a temporary position with an expected duration of 12 to 18 months.What You'll Be Doing:
  • Review and issue commercial grain contracts, ensuring correct terms and conditions in collaboration with Trade Execution, Merchandisers, and Risk Management.
  • Coordinate and manage sales and purchase contract processing for commercial grain customers.
  • Review contract confirmations and broker notes, identify discrepancies, and communicate issues to Trade Execution and Merchandisers while ensuring alignment with company policies and national/international grain trading terms.
  • Assist with the preparation and completion of export documentation for containerized and bulk vessel shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate domestic and international courier services, working with external providers and internal stakeholders to ensure on‑time delivery and pickup.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for grain contracts, shipment documentation, and related records.
  • Generate and distribute regular and ad‑hoc contract management reports to support business decision‑making.
  • Support management and reporting of overseas elevator inventories, including storage, truck activities, invoicing, payments, and product releases.
  • Assist with invoice coordination and processing, working closely with Commodity Accountants and Trade Execution teams.
  • Perform other related duties as required to support effective trade execution and contract administration.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Finance, Agriculture, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in export logistics, finance, or documentation within a grain/agricultural company or financial institution.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
  • Basic understanding of the Canadian Grain Industry is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review, interpret, and apply contract terms and corporate policies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with relevant business systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as a team member.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Ability to perform detailed administrative and documentation activities accurately and consistently.
