As a senior member of the traffic group, the Senior Specialist will be an internal resource capable of training and assisting Junior Coordinators as well as coordinating day-to-day compliance on freight KPIs, including the production of reports and analytics. Part of the mandate is to work on internal process restructuring, and being familiar with the Tier 1 freight forwarding standard operating procedures set forward by CIFFA is a requirement.Main Responsibilities:AIR AND OCEAN TRAFFIC INBOUND:
  • Ensure the smooth operation workflow between Shippers and Forwarders;
  • Ensure inbound logistic data integrity;
  • Respond to Forwarders’ daily bookings and ensure all shipments are within required dates (for Canada and/or US bound cargo);
  • Update the Buying team and Import Specialists when Shippers’ handovers are delayed, and update merchants in case of transit delays;
  • Process shipping documents to verify customs compliance and ensure shipments are paid on time to avoid release issues;
  • Follow up directly with vendors for missing documentation;
  • Work with Forwarders to receive all freight invoices before shipments are delivered;
  • Support the Manager in the strategic planning of air and ocean volumes to maximize time performance and keep costs low;
  • Support the Manager in producing weekly KPIs on vendor performance versus the agreed standard level of service contracted with our Forwarders;
  • Give our Distribution Center and/or USA 3PL accurate visibility on weekly deliveries;
  • Assist Groupe Dynamite Internal Logistics with ad hoc requests from various departments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in Administration, Supply Chain, or any related field;
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in traffic coordination;
  • CIFFA certification is an asset;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows with strong computer skills (ability to synthesize data);
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;
  • Knowledge of TradeStone Software is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is an asset;
  • Familiarity with Google Sheets, Slides, Drive, and Docs is an asset;
  • Knowledge of and working experience with 3PLs (USA/INTL based) is an asset.
