- Design and implement comprehensive AR policies and procedures to improve operations and mitigate credit risks.
- Develop and maintain an AR SOP manual that standardizes processes across the organization and promotes compliance with best practices.
- Streamline the credit evaluation and granting processes to enhance efficiency, minimize risks, and create scalable workflows.
- Analyze customer data and AR metrics to provide insights for better decision-making on credit terms, risk assessments, and operational improvements.
- Perform detailed credit analysis and determine appropriate credit limits and terms for new and existing customers.
- Collaborate with branch clerks to investigate and resolve AR issues, account discrepancies, and invoicing errors efficiently.
- Manage AR month-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting. Create detailed reports to support thorough financial reviews.
- Support cash flow planning by identifying AR trends and implementing measures to optimize collection cycles and liquidity.
- Improve the current collections process and provide strategic guidance on policy improvement with the ongoing projects.
- Provide AR-specific assistance to the Controller by offering analysis, insights, and recommendations on improving processes and managing cash flow.
- Assist in setting up the AR module within the newly implemented ERP system
- Provide Collections support to the branch clerks and provide timely feedback to Controller on current challenges & improvement areas.
- 2+ years of accounting education within Canada or a combination of hands-on AR experience in a large company environment
- 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis, accounts receivable management, in a mid to large organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret AR data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Power BI is an asset but not required.
- Solid understanding of credit granting processes and risk mitigation strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with branch clerks and other team members effectively.
- Knowledge of AR reporting & compliance processes and month-end closing cycles.
- Professional certifications such CCP will be an asset.

- Familiarity with AI platforms in finance, especially those focused on credit management and AR analytics, is a plus.
- Ability to implement and maintain streamlined procedures.
- High level of attention to detail in analyzing financial data.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to issue resolution.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
