Your MissionActivision Central Tech is looking for an Associate Director of Production to join our team. The Central Tech production team provides global leadership and support across technology development powering the Call of Duty franchise. In this role, you will bring experienced leadership in structuring our game technology investments, partner with franchise and studios leadership teams to establish strategy and scope, directly manage a team of technical producers, and provide production management and oversight necessary to orchestrate the work of many teams across distinct studios and geographies.This role isanticipatedto be a hybrid work position, and the home studio for this role isin Vancouver, BC.What you bring to the tableThe videogame industry and therefore our business is fast-paced and will continue to evolve. As such, the duties and responsibilities of this role may be changed as directed by the Company at any time to promote and support our business and relationships with industry partners. This role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Bring highly experienced leadership in overseeing a production team with large scope and complex technology initiatives with full ownership and autonomy.
- Lead and coordinate a team of production managers and producers. Build and mentor the team through structured career development, clear goals, and continuous feedback.
- Build shared technology roadmaps that satisfies our titles and franchise goals, in alignment with studios, engineering leadership and production leadership. This may involve establishing new processes and frameworks in an organization that may have operated with a different model.
- Establish structured and efficient collaboration and communication with development studios, franchise leaders and stakeholders.
- Ability to deliver on set goals as determined by leadership partners, translating strategic direction to tactical execution plans and clear outcomes.
- 10+ years of technical production in game development with 3+ years of management experience
- Deep expertise in production operations, delivery methodologies, and organizational leadership across multiple teams or studios.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to lead multiple teams with sometimes divergent requirements along different timelines.
- Proven ability to manage production, technical and business stakeholders.
- Broad insight of general game technology, enabling to efficiently collaborate with technical leaders, stakeholders and CTOs, influence strategic direction across multiple teams and shape sequencing and resource planning for complex technology goals and initiatives.
- Proven ability to balance people management, delivery oversight, and stakeholder alignment; Proven ability to lead, influence and mobilize teams outside of direct authority.
- Proven ability to delegate and coach managers and senior producers, providing constructive feedback and enabling growth in both technical and leadership capabilities.
- Proven ability to build positive working relationships and contribute to an environment of trust, respect, and accountability.
- Experience working on AAA and/or first-person shooter games.
- A technical degree or similar experience.
