Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of national procurement strategies across multiple divisions.
- Build and maintain strong, high-performing supplier partnerships to ensure reliability, quality, and competitiveness.
- Negotiate national agreements, pricing structures, and service-level expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Project Management, Estimating, and Operations—to forecast and align material needs.
- Implement, enhance, and leverage ERP-based procurement processes.
- Monitor market conditions, supply chain risks, and industry trends; establish proactive mitigation plans.
- Track and report KPIs related to cost reductions, supply lead times, vendor performance, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a distributed procurement team across regional offices.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, safety requirements, and relevant regulatory standards.
- 10+ years of progressive procurement/supply chain experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
- Strong background supporting construction or industrial project environments (experience with building envelope materials is considered an asset).
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing.
- Proficiency with procurement and ERP systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Sage, or similar tools).
- Strategic mindset supported by strong financial, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (professional designations such as CSCMP are an asset).
- High professional integrity, accountability, and initiative.
