Location: Welland, ONStart Date: 29-08-2025Date Added: 29-08-2025Status: Accepting CandidatesIndustry: IndustrialDescription:Can-Tech Services, one of the leaders in employment opportunities, has been providing expert staffing solutions for over 50 years.Can-Tech Services is currently looking for Candidates for a Contract position located in the Welland, ON area to work as a MIG Welder on Day Shift.Shift Time:Day Shift: Monday to Thursday – 5:30 AM to 5:15 PM, 44 hour work weekPay rate: $22 – $23/hr. (Depending on experience)Duties & Responsibilities as MIG Welder
  • Structural MIG welding – structural steel columns
  • Select and set up welding equipment, execute the planned welds, and examine the welds to ensure that they meet specifications for quality control purposes
  • Completes parts according to work order and blueprint specifications
  • Uses appropriate fixtures where required
  • Good understanding of setting up techniques
  • Checks of safety guards or other safety equipment on all machinery/equipment handled
  • Ensuring work is kept clean and free from hazards
  • Other duties as assigned
