Vacancy Title: Heliport TechnicianVacancy Location: Mount Pearl, New FoundlandEngagement Type: Permanent, Full TimeYour New RoleThe Heliport Suit Room Technician is responsible for all functions related to Helicopter Passenger Transport Suit System (HPTSS) equipment use in offshore flight activities, including guiding passengers with donning and doffing the equipment and ensuring they actively participate in safety briefings and stretching, as applicable.What You Can Expect from the RoleKey Responsibilities:
  • Handle HPTSS equipment and support passengers through the process as per Survitec's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Receive equipment from the service shop.
  • Log receipt of equipment in computer system.
  • Place equipment in appropriate storage locations and manage overall inventory.
  • Prepare flight and passenger lists in computer system.
  • Select and check equipment to be used for each passenger scheduled to fly.
  • Assign equipment to passengers in computer system.
  • Assemble equipment and tag with passenger name in preparation for flight.
  • Place equipment in applicable departure room.
  • Assemble passengers in departure room and ensure they watch and participate in applicable videos.
  • Guide and assist passengers through the donning process.
  • Perform final equipment checks to ensure ready state for flight.
  • Confirm flight in computer system once departed.
  • For returning passengers, guide and assist them through doffing process upon arrival.
  • Collect all equipment and log return of equipment in computer system.
  • Inspect returned equipment and determine of it is to be sent to service shop or retained in heliport for use.
  • Pack equipment to be returned to service station.
  • Sanitize equipment to be kept at heliport and / or place in appropriate storage location as required.

  • Educated to high school level or equivalent
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Understand the importance of survival equipment and have an appreciation of how adhering to company procedures is crucial;
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently;
  • Appetite to deliver work schedule;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal);
  • Requirement to work shifts including weekend working rota;
