- Schedule: 6 x 6 (3 days/3 nights/6 off)- 12 hour shifts

- Transportation: Bussing provided from Fort McMurray to site (before and after shifts)
- Overtime: is paid for hours worked over 12 hours per shift, on statutory holidays, or for work on a day off.
- Up to a base rate of pay of $41.75/hour, varying with experience level.
- Vacation and Statutory Holiday pay allocated to each paycheck.

- Operate hydraulic shovels ranging in size from EX2500 to EX8000 in a mining or heavy construction earthworks environment (model types can include but are not limited to Hitachi and Caterpillar)
- Complete pre-use equipment inspections to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
- Complete field level risk / hazard assessments prior to task and as task changes
- Participate in the safe fueling and servicing of equipment
- Interact with cleanup and hauling equipment
- Interact with other contractor and client equipment
- Ensure compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies, operating standards, and procedures
- Using adequate and suitable safety equipment, including all required PPE
- Reviewing safe work plans/ hazard assessment with prior to job commencement and follow all requirements
- Report any necessary or anticipated repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors immediately
- High school diploma, GED, and/or post-secondary education is considered an asset.
- Valid CSO or BSO (Energy Safety Canada)
- Silica Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- OHS Alberta Legislation Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- H2S Awareness (Energy Safety Canada)
- Field Ergonomics (Energy Safety Canada)
- Be subject to Random Testing at: Suncor, Suncor Fort Hills and Kearl sites
- Undergo and successfully pass the following pre-employment testing:
- Breath Alcohol Test
- Urine Drug Test
- An email will be sent with all required New Hire Paperwork to be filled out
- After all results and paperwork are received by NASI, candidates will be contacted by Site Admin to schedule orientation and confirm your start date and other site-specific details.
