- Foster and maintain positive client and Clean Harbors operational relationships.
- Boots on the ground, in the field in all weather conditions -
- Facilitate incident investigations.
- Collaborating with Leaders, support safety meetings on topics designed to promote a better understanding of Clean Harbors Health & Safety policies, programs, procedures, or general Health & Safety.
- Conduct Health and safety site inspections and audits to assure compliance with Corporate Health & Safety policies, programs, procedures and guidelines, and proper work practices needed to maintain safe operations.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner;
- Ability to develop, review and update Job Hazard Analysis;
- Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and incident reporting and follow-up;
- Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational Health & Safety procedures to complete assignments;
- Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify Health & Safety compliance issues;
- Documents safety inspections- Near Miss, Unsafe Acts, Unsafe Conditions and Safe Operations with corrective actions;
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 5+ years Health and Safety experience within an industrial setting
- NCSO designation required.
- CRSP designation preferred.
- OH&S Diploma, certification is an asset.
- Class 5 driver's license required.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Ability to travel throughout Ontario and at times, other locations across Canada to support projects, turnarounds, and outages.
