
Sustaining Engineering Specialist (18-months fixed-term contract)

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and overseas factories to evaluate and implement product change design, specification and implementation including cost reduction initiatives, as well as product quality initiatives.
- Analyze and interpret manufacturer change data, and proactively propose innovative, cost-effective product updates.
- Create and refine technical documentation, including product requirements, testing procedures, and verification plans.
- Maintain comprehensive and clear documentation for product specifications, process data, and testing workflows.
- Conduct performance testing, comparative evaluations, and troubleshoot product samples to ensure compliance with existing specs and quality standards.
- Prepare and present verification test reports with actionable insights for stakeholder decision-making
- Serve as a technical liaison between internal teams and global suppliers to ensure timely and accurate communication regarding product modifications.
- Partner with Product Managers, Vendor Management, Product Compliance, and Quality teams to execute product lifecycle transitions and ensure project success.
- Provide insights and propose innovative product changes that balance performance, cost, and customer expectations.
- Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of progressive technical experience in product development, validation, and verification.
- Proficiency in lab testing and diagnostic equipment
- Experience with IT accessories, consumer electronics or high-speed signal product validation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in technical documentation.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite for communication, tracking, and reporting.
- Self-motivated and adaptable; comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated understanding of mechanical design principles and experience with physical product evaluations.
- Previous experience with high-speed electronic signal debugging using oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers, and protocol analysis is desirable.
- Experience working in environments involving complex supplier relationships and product transitions.
- Familiarity with product compliance standards and global certification processes.
