We are looking for a Customs & Classification Analyst who will report to the North American Global Trade Services Manager, and who’ll be tasked with supporting US & CA import and export operations, liaison with CA & US customs broker. As part of your role, you’ll be significantly supporting BRP’s US customs operations, facilitating the continuous flow of goods while maintaining the highest levels of compliance. You’ll be part of the integral process in delivering BRP products to the global markets.YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:Analyze import and export documentation to determine the appropriate tariff classification for goods (mainly parts, accessories & apparel)Research and interpret customs regulations, tariff schedules, to ensure compliance with local trade regulationsCommunicate with external stakeholders, including customs brokers and internal clients, to resolve clearance-related issues and provide guidance on customs requirements.Maintain records of classification decisions and provide support during audits and compliance reviews.Ensure databases are kept up to date with accurate information on clearance instructions and supplier product informationHighlight, review, provide and support the BRP internal and external requirements concerning the US importation and Canadian exportation lawsResponsible to create, maintain and update of internal/external proceduresWork closely with the US coordinator & Classification team to suggest and achieve additional savings related directly or indirectly to the customs transactionsAct as point of contact for all customs related topics tied the distribution center activitiesYOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:3-5 years experience in global trade services including customs clearance, import & export operations and classificationStrong analytical and reporting capabilitiesAbility to work in fast passed and challenging environmentProblem Solving & Decision making skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationGood reporting, data analysis & Microsoft Office skillsGreat attention to detailPreferred:Takes initiativeExperience with SAP -Able to work independentlyResults orientedProactiveTeamworkSkills on Excel, Access data base, ACE report, SpinAccess, PBIACKNOWLEDGING THE POWER OF DIVERSITYBRP is dedicated to nurturing a culture that invites, connects, and propels the ambitions of people of all backgrounds, profiles, beliefs and experiences.
