- Provide design support for structural projects, focused primarily on bridges, and retaining walls, but also potentially the opportunity to work on the design of marine structures.
- Communicate and work in an integrated team environment to ensure project schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained.
- Provide structural inspections and/or construction supervision for structural engineering projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, with a focus or demonstrated interest in structural engineering; 1 -4 years of experience in bridge design and analysis.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registered or eligible for registration in BC.
- Proven experience applying relevant local and national design codes; familiarity with BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure standards is an asset.
- Knowledge of seismic design principles and performance-based engineering; a master’s degree in structural engineering is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and professionally.
- Strong initiative, with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Valid (or in progress) Class 5 driver’s license.
