Your Contribution:As an Intern reporting to the Mine Assistant General Supervisor, you'll be integrated into the Mine Department and collaborate closely with other Departments of the operation. Your role will involve ensuring the achievement of set goals and objectives while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental values.
  • Main tasks will be to support the mine projects and business improvement department on several technical projects or assignments.
  • Assist the project team to implement new mining infrastructures, projects and processes
  • Support the mine dispatchers & automation specialists.
  • Act as a helper to the underground supervisors and mining crew.
  • Take part in various mine cycle optimization projects.
  • Other tasks related to mine operations and projects.
QualificationsWhat You Need To Succeed:
  • Enrolled student in a bachelor’s degree in Mine Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ontario Underground Common Core or Québec FMTM Mining Modules are an asset.
  • Previous experience in mining is advantageous.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport within teams.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine Mine is English.Your Work Schedule:
  • Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
  • Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
