GPAC has partnered with a leading business law firm that is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Corporate Group, with a focus on private company transactions. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly regarded national platform while working in a collegial, growth-oriented office in Vancouver.The successful candidate will work on complex and high-value matters involving private M&A, corporate reorganizations, governance advisory, shareholder arrangements, and commercial agreements. Clients include privately held companies, entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, and private investors across a diverse range of industries.Key Responsibilities:Lead and support private company transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and restructuringsDraft and negotiate corporate and commercial agreements (e.g., shareholder agreements, purchase/sale agreements, partnership agreements)Provide legal advice on corporate structuring, governance, and regulatory complianceManage client relationships and handle files efficiently from start to finishCollaborate with colleagues across various practice areasSupport the development of junior lawyers and students where appropriateIdeal Candidate:Called to the Bar in a Canadian jurisdiction (preference for British Columbia)3 to 5 years of post-call corporate/commercial law experience with a focus on private company workProven ability to manage transactions independently or with limited supervisionClient-focused with strong business acumen and excellent communication skillsSkilled in drafting, negotiation, and project managementTeam-oriented, with a commitment to quality, collaboration, and professional developmentWhat the Firm Of
