- Ensures compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures and regulations.
- Oversees the manufacturing process of tubular products from raw material intake to finished goods shipment.
- Ensures production schedules are met while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Implements best practices to streamline operations and reduce production costs.
- Implements quality control measures to ensure that all tubular products meet specifications and customer expectations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold quality standards.
- Collaborates with the Procurement and Logistics teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and efficient distribution of finished products.
- Develop and manage budgets for manufacturing operations.
- Monitors expenditures and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising safety or quality.
- Prepares regular reports on production metrics, efficiency, and quality performance.
- Analyzes data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Performs other duties, as required.
- Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field is considered an asset; combination of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in an operations leadership role.
- 3+ years of management experience in a unionized environment.
- Excellent understanding of production processes, quality control, continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Demonstrated Leadership experience driving employee engagement strategies and developing a proactive and positive culture.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Oracle EAM considered an asset
- Demonstrated safety mindset.
- Proven history of building and maintaining positive, respectful relationships at all levels across the Company and with stakeholders.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced work environment, work under pressure and switch gears quickly between projects and deadlines.
