- Construct, operate, and maintain overhead and underground power lines, substations, and related equipment.
- Install and maintain street lighting systems, adhering to quality and safety standards.
- Execute system switching, in line with Electrical Operations Standards.
- Supervise contracted labor effectively, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Administer maintenance programs and system inspections, while maintaining comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate with electrical technicians for equipment installation and maintenance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, offering both immediate and long-term solutions.
- Handle emergency response and standby duties efficiently.
- Coordinate outages and execute switching orders with precision.
- Respond to customer service requests promptly and professionally.
- Participate in company-sponsored community relations activities.
- Maintain and operate company vehicles and equipment responsibly.
- Uphold stringent safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead, coach, and mentor apprentices and colleagues as required.
- Engage in continuous personal and professional development.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Journeyperson Powerline Technician Certificate.
- Valid or eligibility for Interprovincial Red Seal.
- Demonstrated knowledge of live line techniques using bare hand, sticks and 25kv rubber glove work achieved through live line training is preferred.
- Valid Class 5 vehicle operator's license; ability to obtain Class 1 or Class 3 Operator's License.
- Valid First Aid Certificate.
- Previous on-call and troubleshooting experience preferred.
