There are no inmates on site at any time. Civeo Premium associates do not have any interaction with, nor access to, inmates.We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Commercial Kitchen Technician/Millwright to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of commercial kitchen and production equipment in a regulated food production environment. Reporting to the Facilities/Maintenance Manager and based in Milton, Ontario, this role ensures optimal equipment performance while maintaining strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards including CFIA, HACCP, and the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. The successful candidate will apply strong mechanical expertise across pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems, collaborate closely with facilities and production teams to minimize downtime, and uphold company core values of Safety, Respect, Care, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence in all aspects of their work.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, align, and commission Commercial Kitchen equipment, automation systems, and mechanical components according to specifications and blueprints.Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipmentConduct routine inspections and adjustments to ensure optimal machine performance.Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures using a variety of tools, meters, and diagnostic instruments.Repair and replace defective parts, components, and systems to restore equipment functionality.Collaborate with other sub trades, facilities and production teams to resolve maintenance issues to eliminate downtime.Work in compliance with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and internal safety policies.Maintain safe work practices, including lockout/tagout procedures, machine guarding, and hazard identification.Complete documentation such as work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports.Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and manuals.Utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order management.Perform basic fabrication, including welding, cutting, and machining when required.Other related tasks as assigned by the managerQualificationsGrade 12 education or equivalent.Valid Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic Millwright (433A), Commercial Appliance Technician, or other similar trade experience recognized in Ontario.Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment. Preference given to experience directly in a large scale commercial food production environment.Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.Proficiency with alignment tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine shop equipment.Welding and fabrication skills (CWB certification an asset).Experience with CMMS platforms.Basic electrical or automation/PLC knowledge.Valid forklift, scissor lift and overhead crane certification are an asset.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Ability to lift and move heavy components as required (following safe work practices).Ability to work within a secure, regulated, and operationally complex environment.Successful completion of drug and alcohol screening, vulnerable sector check, criminal record check, and any other required security clearances.Advanced Food safe, or ability to acquire advanced food safe.What we offer:Wage $30/ hr - $34.66/ hrComprehensive benefits package, which includes dental, vision, life insurance, and extended health coverageHealth or Personal Spending AccountEmployee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP)RRSP/DPSP Match ProgramProfessional DevelopmentWe are dedicated to employment equity and continuously strive to enhance our diversity and inclusion practices, fostering a respectful and collaborative workforce.
