You'll play a pivotal role in enhancing procurement operations, supplier management, and contract lifecycle processes.Reporting to the Manager, ERP Technology, you will facilitate workshops, gather and analyze business requirements, design scalable solutions, configure Ariba modules, and oversee integration efforts. You'll collaborate with a Systems Integration consulting partner to manage development teams, monitor project timelines, and ensure successful delivery and adoption of SAP Ariba solutions.This is a one-year contract, with potential for extension based on performance and organizational needs. Contractors can be based in either our Vancouver or Calgary offices.Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Lead workshops to capture business needs and translate them into functional and technical specifications for SAP Ariba
- Configure and implement SAP Ariba modules including Sourcing, Contracts, Buying and Invoicing, and Supplier Lifecycle and Performance
- Design and develop integration solutions between SAP Ariba and ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA), using CIG (Cloud Integration Gateway) or IAG, Web Services, and IDOCs
- Ensure seamless data exchange through data mapping, transformation, and middleware tools such as SAP PI/PO, MuleSoft, or Dell Boomi
- Optimize supplier onboarding, qualification, and performance tracking workflows
- Develop and execute integration strategies using Ariba APIs, BADI enhancements, and custom adapters
- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing, and provide hyper care support post-deployment
- Deliver end-user training and create documentation for SAP Ariba functionalities
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, compliance, and process alignment
- Manage contract lifecycle workflows, including authoring, approvals, and repository setup
- Lead data migration and cleansing efforts to ensure quality and consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement procurement process improvements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in SAP Ariba implementation and support
- Expertise in SAP Ariba architecture, configuration, and deployment
- Strong understanding of source-to-pay and procure-to-pay processes
- Proficiency in Ariba Network, Ariba Integration Toolkit, and CIGExperience with Ariba APIs, REST/SOAP services, and custom scripting such as JavaScript or XML
- Skilled in ERP integration, configuration management, and change control
- Familiarity with Ariba Analytical Reporting and ability to interpret procurement data
- Understanding of security protocols, role-based access, and compliance standards such as SOX and GDPR
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies for SAP project delivery
