- Sources and procures raw materials, supplies, and services aligned with corporate objectives.
- Forecasts production requirements and manages inventory levels using min/max principles.
- Identifies and implements cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing or materials.
- Conducts vendor analysis and evaluates usage data to support decision-making.
- Negotiates pricing, contracts, and terms while maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Manages roll stock usage, reconciles inventories, and expedites orders as needed.
- Ensures compliance with import/export and cross-border regulations.
- Evaluates supplier performance and oversees onboarding of new vendors as needed.
- Maintains accurate procurement records, including pricing history and supplier data.
- Participates in cross-functional initiatives focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Develops and maintains procurement policies and procedures aligned with company standards.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
- Post-secondary education or professional designation in Business or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior purchasing role, ideally in packaging, printing, or manufacturing.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills with sound judgment under pressure.
- Proficiency in MRP systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of prioritizing in a dynamic environment.
- High-level analytical and critical thinking skills focused on financial and operational efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
- Proven leadership capabilities and a proactive, hands-on attitude.
