Environmental/Remediation (Senior Project Manager)

- Manage or provide technical support on spills, investigations and remediation projects across Ontario and Canada to ensure that they are completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare and review budgets, work plans/proposals, reports and invoices to meet company requirements and to the satisfaction of the client.
- Perform other areas of project-related financial management.
- Build leadership and mentorship skills by working with and mentoring junior staff.
- Communicate with Clients and understand their project requirements.
- Maintain existing client relationships and identify opportunities for new business relationships.
- Participate in business development initiatives to build new client relationships and maintain existing ones.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Geology or related Science.
- Licensed Professional in Ontario in a respective discipline (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., etc.) is required, or an ability to obtain the License within one year from the employment.
- A minimum of 10-15 years of environmental consulting experience with significant portion as a project manager for environmental site assessments, remediation technology evaluation, remediation scope development and detailed specifications, and remediation costing
- A good knowledge of how risk assessments and remediation are complementary.
- Exposure to a variety of remediation technologies, implementation, operation, maintenance and monitoring of the remediation treatment systems ideal.
- Strong working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04, and other applicable environmental regulations in Ontario (at a minimum) and across Canada (an asset)
- Ability to manage multiple long and short-term projects.
- Proven experience with complicated spill response, site assessment and remediation projects, as well as knowledge/experience with key contractors performing this work across Ontario.
- Proven ability to develop our existing client base and recognize new market opportunities.
- Proven proficiency in invoicing, budgeting, and other areas of project related financial management.
- Valid driver’s licence and insurance are required (work related travel expenses will be compensated).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
