Members will be asked to share insights on such questions as: 1) how to design systems that nurture collective access and wellbeing with Deaf and Disabled communities; 2) ways to strengthen care while complementing, not competing with, existing communities services; 3) current gaps in access to caring digital tools and technologies that support creative practices; 4) future opportunities for mutual aid, cooperative models, and shared infrastructure led by Deaf and Disabled communities; and, more. Two (2) Care Doulas (one Deaf / Disabled, and one Indigenous) will help support participants across three interconnected areas of work, including the development of: 1) a story-based impact practice framework; 2) an impact investing ecosystem; and, 3) an open-source impact investing software platform. Key responsibilities include program and access design (30%), participant care and support (50%), knowledge sensemaking and care stewarding (20%). Planned activities include translation of reports, websites, software interfaces, closed captioning of archival videos, and other content in Fluent and Plain French. Translators will also support the development of language translation glossaries for future translation needs. Total compensation is $5,594 to $6,240 inclusive of 4% vacation pay, at $18.25 to $20.00 per hour for 30 hours per week over 10 consecutive weeks in June to August, 2026, ending no later than August 21, 2026. They will complete a literature review with cases studies of local youth that are leading creative responses to social challenges and crises through arts and culture. They will explore issues that youth are most concerned about, which may include the impacts of AI, financial and accessibility barriers, and other challenges.
