- Role: Community Personal Support Worker (PSW)
- Type: Temporary (May–August; flexible start/end dates)
- Schedule: Days, evenings, weekends—you choose your availability
- Setting: Clients’ homes within your assigned community area
- Provide compassionate assistance with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Support safe mobility, transfers, and simple exercises based on client care plans
- Assist with daily living tasks such as meal prep and light housekeeping
- Observe, document, and report changes in client condition
- Encourage client independence, comfort, dignity, and safety
- Travel between client homes in the Hamilton & Burlington area
- Current student in a BScN, RPN, LPN, or equivalent nursing program
- International Nursing Graduate, PSW certificate, or prior clinical placement considered an asset
- Compassionate, reliable, and confident working independently
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable with the physical demands of community care
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Willingness to travel between clients (up to ~40 minutes from first to last visit)
- Travel stipend provided between visits
- Current CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Proof of negative TB test
- Required immunizations for community healthcare settings
