The scheme aims to significantly reduce journey times, enhance passenger capacity, and support long term decarbonisation goals. Development is progressing toward phased delivery over the next decade.Provides strategic leadership across major construction projects, guiding senior teams to deliver exceptional safety, quality, programme and budget outcomes. Accountable to Business Unit leadership for full project performance, consistently achieving internal objectives, KPIs and commercial results across all projects within their remit.You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Champion Mace’s Safety First culture, ensuring outstanding safety, quality, compliance and inclusive wellbeing across all project teams.
  • Provide strategic leadership for key assignments, owning executive and client relationships and translating vision into deliverable on‑site plans.
  • Uphold ethical, financially responsible operations while shaping long‑term business strategy and governance.
  • Develop and empower delivery teams through mentoring, technical guidance, innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Leads senior project teams to deliver programme, safety, quality and performance targets, fostering continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Translates client vision into robust delivery plans, optimising resources and embedding C2P, digital and net zero innovation.
  • Builds strong client and stakeholder relationships, ensuring effective governance and senior level alignment.
  • Creates an inclusive, high performing culture through mentorship, technical leadership and clear ownership of roles and responsibilities.
You’ll Need To Have:
  • Chartered or professionally qualified (MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE) with a relevant degree or equivalent.
  • Extensive construction management experience with strong commercial, financial and regulatory expertise.
  • Proven leadership of large, diverse teams and senior stakeholder relationships.
  • Advanced technical, digital and sustainability knowledge, including safety‑critical standards and modern construction methods.
Note: The estimated salary for this position is $250,000 - 300,000.
