Together with our substantial investments in technology, knowledge, and learning resources for our audit professionals, you will be part of the team that delivers quality assurance services to our clients and their stakeholders.Your key responsibilitiesAs an Accounting Technician, you will be part of our Enterprise practice provides specialized accounting, review services (review engagement, notice to reader), tax services (personal and corporate taxes), and business advisory services to privately owned businesses and individuals.Skills and attributes for successPrepare review and notice to reader engagements in CasewarePrepare adjusting entries and financial statementsPrepare account summaries and reconciliationsComplete corporate tax returns and liaise with our tax professionalsAssist managers with client meeting preparationPrepare correspondence to clients and the Canada Revenue AgencyRespond to other duties as requiredMust have strong attention to detailMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlinesMust have good interpersonal skills and able to liaise with clients, staff and outside partiesMust be available to work overtime during peak seasonsMust have initiativeMust be a team playerTo qualify for the role you must haveMust possess either: university degree in accounting or a college diploma in accounting with a minimum of 3 years of work experienceProficiency in Excel requiredIdeally, you'll also haveAccounting software knowledge with Sage or similar would be considered an assetThe ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic team-oriented environmentWhat we look forWe're interested in leaders with a genuine creative vision and the confidence to make it happen.
