Our client, a leader in the engineering sector, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.Job Title: Mechanical EngineerLocation: Alberta (Calgary, or Edmonton, or Fort McMurray)Schedule 7x7What's the Job?
  • Conduct field walkdowns to assess mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Develop piping scopes, drawings, and bills of materials (BOM) for various projects.
  • Respond to RFIs and technical questions from operations, supply chain, and vendors.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare Statements of Work (SOWs) for shutdowns, lifts, and spool changes.
What's Needed?
  • Practicing P.Eng. accreditation with APEGGA in good standing.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Primary Extraction or Tailings Operations.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and engineering principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in developing and managing MOCs for various tailings operations.
