- Organize, prioritize and provide accurate and timely delivered quotations requested by clients.
- Determine testing requirements with Business Development Managers and Senior BD Management, lab personnel, and clients to generate cost-effective, innovative recommendations needed to create quotations.
- Provide input and assist BD Management in the planning and organization of client requests.
- Responding to inquiries to provide information pertaining to the testing/projects being quoted.
- Following up to determine the status of open and/or outstanding quotations with Senior BD team.
- Keeps track of updating client records and interactions such as testing/projects quoted. (Eg: issued, pending and approved quotes).
- Improve quotation process and measure effectiveness by incorporating use of technological capabilities (eg. CRM, CLO, CLQ, and eLIMS) to improve processes and efficiency.
- Any other departmental work assigned by the Supervisor or Management Staff time to time to help in resource allocation and completion of specific tasks.
- Assist the BD team in reviewing scientific methods before preparing quotations
- Ensure ongoing communications with clients and BPT Lab personnel to ensure awarded projects are ready to start and executed on time.
- Coordinate the schedule of awarded projects with the BPT chemistry, microbiology, and R&D laboratory teams.
- Update pricing schedules for specific client discounts regularly.
- Assist in ordering lab consumables (Reference Standards, Columns, Reagents, Instrument etc.) as and when needed.
- Regularly update CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365) with Client information (Client Name, contact details etc.
- A University degree (B.Sc.) in Chemistry or a related scientific discipline or a College Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology.
- Minimum two years experience in a pharmaceutical (preferable) laboratory.
- Detail oriented, accuracy in work essential.
- Good written and verbal English communication skills.
- Self-starter and resourceful
- Familiarity with analytical testing procedures (USP, EP, BP, JP etc)
- Proficiency with computer programs such as Word, and Excel etc
- Willingness to work overtime during weekdays or weekends as requested by the Supervisor or Management staff.
- Open to performing other related duties as assigned.
