- Determine the nature of the repairs and the time required to repair and repair faults.
- Order parts required for repairs.
- Adjust, repair and/or replace defective parts using hand or power tools.
- Test repaired equipment to ensure that it works and that repairs comply with manufacturer's requirements.
- Clean and lubricate equipment and perform routine maintenance.
- Carry out tasks assigned by the group leader and/or workshop supervisor.
- Respect established repair times.
- Work in a safe manner.
- Clean work area and maintain workshop equipment in good condition.
- Complete required documents such as time sheets, warranty reports, etc. on a daily basis.
- Store tools supplied by SMS in their respective locations.
- Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.
- DEP in heavy equipment or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in construction equipment mechanics.
- Knowledge of Komatsu products an asset.
- Autonomous
- Good team spirit and ability to detect defects.
- Customer service oriented.
