This includes both proactive and reactive management.Key Areas of Focus for this Role

Supports the day-to-day operations of customers' Linux servers. This includes both proactive and reactive management.
Provide systems administration for customer Linux servers
Implement and support high availability configuration of Linux systems
Analyze system performance
Develop system tools and utilities to simplify and support IT and business operations
Plan, implement and manage systems initiatives with IT and customer teams
Establish & maintain technical standards & server security policies
Patch Linux servers on scheduled basis
Candidate will be required to provide updates and status to customers and leadership
Shift 24×7: On Call. As Per schedule or On Demand

Minimum of 10+ years experience with multiple Linux operating systems such as Red Hat and SLES.
Knowledge of networking, storage, security, virtualization, clustering and high availability concepts.
Knowledge of system administrative practices in large scale data center environments.
Working knowledge of using zVM and how it interacts with the Linux systems.
Experience with supporting Zlinux systems through the 3270 console.
Experience managing Physical volumes, Logical volumes and Filesystems.
Experience with one or more Volume Management software packages (LVM, VxVM, ZFS, etc.)
Working knowledge of account and security management
Cogent networking concepts
Solid troubleshooting skills
Performance monitoring & Tuning

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with zPro is a plus
Major Incident Management. Should be able to drive the Major Incident/P1 calls
Incident Management. Excellent exposure and experience in Incident Management
Change Management. Excellent exposure and experience in Change Management
Problem Management. Excellent exposure and experience in Problem Management
Communication Skill. Excellent Written & Verbal English communication Skill
