Job Description:Our manufacturing client is seeking a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations during a short-term contract period, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. This position will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, and cost accounting activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities

Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports
Support inventory accounting, including reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and cost of goods sold analysis
Assist with standard costing, bill of materials (BOM), and manufacturing variances
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
Support audits and internal controls as required
Collaborate with operations and production teams to ensure accurate financial data
Assist with process improvements and documentation as needed

Requirements:Qualifications

2-5+ years of full-cycle or senior-level accounting experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Solid understanding of inventory, cost accounting, and production processes
Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is an asset
CPA designation not required (open to qualified non-designated accountants)
Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a contract role
