Job Category: People & CultureJob Description:We are currently seeking a Senior Leadership & Career Development Advisor to join our team.The Senior Leadership & Career Development Advisor plans, designs, delivers and evaluates a broad range of leadership and career development programs, tools and resources, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategy, culture, purpose and values. Leverages learning technology and analytics, including artificial intelligence (AI) tools, to enhance the design and delivery of programs, personalize learning experiences and improve content development efficiency.Here's what would be included as a part of your typical day * Needs Assessment & Program Design: Conducts needs assessment and performs gap analysis, drawing on insights such as discovery meetings, focus groups, data analysis and external research, to understand current/future development requirements. Collaborates with People & Culture specialists and subject matter experts to recommend leadership and career development programs, tools, and resources. Applies expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles to create learning solutions using a variety of learning methods that appeal to various learning styles.
  • Program Coordination & Delivery: Facilitates inhouse leadership development, team development and career development programs. Sources and contracts with external vendors to provide specialist learning solutions. Leads the implementation and coordination of external programs in collaboration with vendors, ensuring that learning solutions are tailored to meet specific business objectives and enhance organizational performance. Promotes and coordinates selection and participation in external leadership development opportunities (e.g. CCUA National Young Leader, BCEL conference, Minerva). May provide some 1:1 coaching to select leaders to enhance leadership capabilities.
  • Change Management: Performs design, evaluation and improvement of the People Readiness Change Management Model, tools, resources and training. Collaborates with key partners to strengthen organizational change capability and support adoption and sustainment of desired practices. Delivers change management training and coaching to the change community as required.
  • Leader Summit: Leads the planning, design, delivery and evaluation of the annual Leader Summit, including sourcing and contracting with event planners, internal and external speakers. Creates project plans, coordinates activities and resources, manages to project timelines and accountabilities, ensuring effective implementation and management of the event.
  • Program Governance & Improvement: Performs ongoing evaluation of leadership and career development programs, tools and resources, ensuring relevance and accessibility across platforms such as the intranet and learning management system.
  • Program Evaluation: Measures and reports on the impact of initiatives. Follows-up to ensure skills are being applied and positively impacting performance and business results.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • 5 years' experience in developing and implementing leadership and career development solutions with all levels of leaders required; 2 years leadership and coaching experience
  • Hands on experience with project & change management (project and/or change management certification considered an asset).
  • Coaching certification and/or psychometric assessment certification (e.g. Insights Discovery, MBTI, EQi or similar) considered an asset
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Leadership, Adult Education, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Expertise in consulting and influencing key partners towards achievement of business results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively, build credibility and strong relationships with a broad range of key partners at all levels in the organization
  • Strength in problem solving, driving business change, and advancing continuous improvement
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to accomplish a variety of tasks and activities to deadlines
  • Knowledge of different learning modality and design tools including AI-driven tools, to optimize learning program design and delivery
  • Strong coaching skills
  • Expertise in needs assessment and gap analysis
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
